The software developer will be working within the development team of the Trust's Digital department.
The role will be to provide software engineering including application development to support the hospital IT development strategy, using specialist systems, analysis and programming skills.
Design, develop or adapt complex software, including installation and maintenance of complex software.
Provide automated process solutions and undertake technical problem solving. Provide specialist advice to staff on systems and policies. Integrate the Trust's electronic record with other clinical systems. Provide a working knowledge of data structure, design and relationships and bespoke software solutions for process automation, system integration and data provision.
Analyse, investigate and recommend technical solutions to meet highly complex data storage and reporting needs. Develop custom scripts, views, procedures and report information to meet Trust requirements.
Safeguard the security and confidentiality of personal data by ensuring the appropriate access, security and backup of information systems as necessary to preserve the integrity of data and other files.
Develop a working knowledge of the Trust data warehouse in order to facilitate the provision of data and make informed judgements across a range of options based on available data, which may include analysing bugs and resolving issues.
We are looking for an experienced individual with excellent coding skills and the ability to work as part of a busy team. The candidate will be able to work on their own initiative and prioritise their workload.
