We're working with a fast‑paced and highly successful business within the goods/FMCG sector that is looking to appoint a motivated and ambitious Credit Control Team Leader to join their growing finance function in Warrington.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior credit professional who is looking to move into leadership, develop management experience, and make a real impact within a dynamic environment.

The Role

Leading from the front, you'll support the day‑to‑day running of the credit control function while helping drive performance, cash collection, and customer relationships across a busy and high‑volume ledger.

You'll work closely with both finance and operational teams, helping to improve processes, mentor colleagues, and ensure targets are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting and motivating the credit control team
• Managing customer accounts and escalated queries
• Driving cash collection and reducing aged debt
• Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Producing reporting and analysis for senior management
• Identifying process improvements and efficiencies
• Assisting with month‑end activities and KPI tracking

About You

• Proven experience within credit control
• Background within goods, distribution, wholesale, or FMCG environments
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
• Highly organised with the ability to manage workloads in a fast‑paced setting
• Ambitious and eager to progress into a leadership role
• Confident using finance systems and Excel
