Staff Nurse – Pre-Assessment (Shrewsbury)
Pay: Up to £34,001.50 per annum, depending on experience. Hours: 37.5 hours per week, with some Saturday work on a rota basis.
We are looking for a registered nurse, ideally with post‑registration experience, who is attentive, focused, detail‑oriented and empathetic. You will be a team player committed to exceptional patient care and will hold the appropriate governing body registration, such as the NMC.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a close‑knit team delivering matron‑led care in a consultant‑led service.
- Be the first point of contact, working with multidisciplinary teams to make accurate assessments for patients prior to surgery.
- Demonstrate a broad knowledge base and assessment skills to ensure safe patient care.
- Fully understand and support the needs of each patient and their families.
- Offer comfort and reassurance, providing the highest standards of care.
- Build experience across new practices, equipment and facilities.
- Collaborate with practitioners in other areas, recognising that continuity of patient care is key.
Qualifications
- Registered nurse with relevant governing body registration (e.g., NMC).
- Post‑registration clinical experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and assessment skills.
- Team‑oriented and committed to high‑quality patient care.
