Balfor Recruitment is proud to be working with a stable and nurturing 3-bed residential home supporting children and young people aged 5–17 with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and Learning Disabilities (LD). Your Impact as Registered Manager

As the leader of the home, you will:

  • Hold and maintain Ofsted registration, ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards
  • Provide strong, visible leadership that inspires and motivates your team
  • Create and oversee high-quality, person-centred care plans tailored to each child
  • Promote a therapeutic, outcome-focused culture across the home
  • Drive continuous improvement and strive for excellence in care delivery
  • Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and risk management standards are always upheld
  • Work collaboratively with external professionals, families, and agencies

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a confident and experienced leader who brings:

  • Recent experience as a Registered Manager in a children’s residential setting
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Strong experience supporting children with EBD and/or Learning Disabilities
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience managing and developing residential care teams
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and multi‑agency working
  • A proven track record of achieving at least a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating within the last 2 years
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Enhanced DBS
