The Haemato‑Oncology Day Unit (HODU) is a modern 9‑chair treatment facility providing high‑quality care to patients with oncological and haematological conditions. Our dedicated team delivers Systemic Anti‑Cancer Therapy (SACT), including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted treatments, as well as a wide range of supportive therapies such as blood transfusions.
Applicants should be highly motivated, enthusiastic and pro‑active. The post holder will work as part of the nursing team, supporting the unit manager to run an effective and safe unit and deliver high‑standard care to patients throughout their treatment pathway.
You will be expected to adopt a holistic, pro‑active and dynamic approach, being responsible for the delivery of a high standard of care and service to patients. You will, in association with your colleagues, support patients and their carers on all aspects of their care, be they newly diagnosed or being treated with palliative intent.
