Key Responsibilities

  • Providing technical support to operations and maintenance teams
  • Supporting reliability improvement and asset performance initiatives
  • Planning and prioritising maintenance for rotating and static equipment
  • Carrying out root cause analysis and implementing improvements
  • Supporting minor modifications and upgrade projects
  • Working with contractors and managing technical scope delivery
  • Ensuring compliance with engineering standards and regulatory requirements
  • Supporting project activities including HAZOP, SIL reviews, and studies
  • Acting as technical authority for rotating and lifting equipment systems
  • Contributing to decommissioning and energy transition projects

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Strong experience in oil and gas or heavy industrial environments
  • Background in rotating equipment, power generation, or lifting systems
  • Experience supporting live operational assets onshore or offshore
  • Understanding of maintenance, reliability, and risk-based approaches
  • Familiarity with UK and EU engineering standards and regulations
  • Chartered status or working towards chartership with a relevant institution
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

Additional Information

  • Hybrid and office-based working with regular site visits onshore and offshore
  • Offshore certification such as BOSIET or HUET is beneficial, or willingness to obtain
