Substantive. Full Time 36 hours per week. Band 5 - Salary Range £34,544 – £43,039 per annum. Distant Island Allowance £2,578 per annum. Relocation Assistance up to £8,000 available.

Responsibilities

The Maintenance Craftsman (Plumbing and Heating Engineer) will assist in the inspection and upkeep of all NHS property and ensure that routine maintenance is carried out. To maintain, repair and operate a range of plant and equipment from simple plumbing installations to complex distribution systems necessary for the provision of a safe, efficient healthcare service to sites within NHS Shetland, while ensuring compliance with relevant safety standards and NHS Estates guidance and procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements

Preferred candidates will be required to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update prior to a formal offer of employment being made.
