Generator Technical Engineer

Monday – Friday

£45,000 + Company Car

Key Responsibilities

• Service and repair diesel and petrol generators
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults
• Carry out routine maintenance and inspections
• Attend breakdowns when required
• Install and commission generators
• Support engineers over the phone with fault finding and technical advice
• Complete service reports and maintain records
• Follow Health & Safety guidelines

Requirements

• Experience with generators or plant equipment
• Strong fault‑finding skills (mechanical & electrical)
• Full UK driving licence
• Good communication and problem‑solving skills

Desirable

• Engineering qualifications (NVQ / City & Guilds)
• Experience with generator brands (Perkins, Cummins, CAT)
