We are looking for a full‑time Sales Consultant to join the team at our elegant Miele Experience Centre in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. Miele Experience Centres differ from normal retail stores: lower footfall but higher value customer transactions. We strive to provide a premium experience for every consumer, whether they are kitting out an entire new kitchen, or dropping in to buy some replacement detergents for their washing machine.
Reporting to the Store Manager, you will be a natural salesperson, confident and capable when hosting clients, providing detailed quotes to fit their needs and delivering memorable instore demonstrations. You will bring an ability to form relationships with clients and manage a longer sales process that could incorporate multiple visits and discussions. Ideally we are looking for sales consultants who have previous experience in lifestyle sales or delivering bespoke solutions in a store environment.
Working as a team you will strive to hit sales targets for both yourself and the team. Our customers are loyal and inquisitive; you will be required to demonstrate multiple communication styles across telephone, face‑to‑face and written. You'll be confident and professional with the ability to respond effectively to quotations and queries.
You will bring previous experience of working in a customer‑facing role, credibility and confidence in what is required. You should be passionate and take pride that matches the brand, be able to multitask, be IT literate, adapt to systems and processes, and work well as a team to achieve great results.
The Miele brand is synonymous with quality design & innovation, and in the store we will consult and advise on the selection of the finest lifestyle appliances for our clients to use in their homes.
Delivering memorable demonstrations, bespoke consultations & exceptional customer service, our Experience Centres forge the link between Kitchen Dealers, consumers, and Miele – giving opportunities to close the sale either directly or through our partner network.
We are looking for someone who is keen to develop long‑term relationships, grow the customer base and develop a career with us.
Status and hours
Full‑time (including weekends) – 37.5 hours a week across five days. We can also consider part‑time hours at 22.5 hours a week, working across three days (including weekends).
Typically the pattern will be Monday & Wednesday 9:00–17:15 and Saturday 8:15–16:15. On occasions we may ask for flexibility on working days for events or holiday cover.
Pay
£26,091 per annum for full‑time hours and £15,654 per annum for part‑time hours.
Additional benefits
In addition to pay we offer a performance‑related bonus scheme as well as a comprehensive benefits package covering health and wellbeing, incentives for sales instore, and recognition awards for exceptional performance and displaying our culture and values.
Miele has a respectful, positive and inclusive culture. Working for Miele GB is exciting and rewarding. We employ approximately 450 employees in the UK and can provide a great foundation to progress your career within the organisation.
