Registered Manager – Children and Young People – Penrith, Cumbria.
Our client, a reputable provider of young people residential care services, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to lead a well‑established dual‑registered service supporting young people. These settled services benefit from full staffing teams and dedicated assistant managers in each home, offering a supportive environment for both staff and residents.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading and managing the day‑to‑day operations of the service, ensuring high standards of care and compliance.
- Overseeing staff teams, fostering a positive and professional working environment.
- Developing and implementing care plans tailored to the individual needs of young people.
- Ensuring regulatory compliance and maintaining excellent relationships with regulatory bodies.
- Supporting staff development and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
What you’ll bring
- Proven leadership skills within social care, with experience managing large homes or services supporting young people.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations and care standards.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to motivate and develop staff teams.
Essential skills and qualifications
- Level 3 Children and Youth Workforce/Residential Child Care and/or Level 5 management qualification in social care (or equivalent).
- Experience managing a large or complex care service.
- Full UK driving licence is desirable.

- Competitive salary: £52,232 (if ready to step up from Deputy Manager holding a Level 3 qualification), or £59,802 (with Level 5 and 12 months experience managing large homes).
