Following an exciting period of growth across both our team and office locations, including establishing a presence in Bristol, we are looking to grow our team across all levels – from early career professionals through to principal level experts – across any of our five UK-based office locations in Bristol, Shrewsbury, Derby, Richmond, and Stirling.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will be joining a technically excellent, diverse, hardworking, and agile team of professionals, where your achievements are celebrated and your personal development is encouraged. Working across a wide variety of interesting, complex projects, depending on your level of experience, your role may include:

  • Designing and installing monitoring systems and field investigation programmes
  • Collecting, analysing and interpreting hydrological and hydrogeological data
  • Undertaking aquifer testing, groundwater sampling, flow gauging, and water quality analysis
  • Communicating effectively with clients, stakeholders, and regulators
  • Developing and applying conceptual site models and numerical models
  • Preparing high quality technical reports, assessments, and client deliverables
  • Supporting regulatory submissions and helping clients navigate complex permitting frameworks
  • Combining field investigations and office-based analysis
  • Managing projects, programmes of work, and client relationships
  • Providing technical leadership, mentoring, and supporting junior members of the team
  • Providing expert advice on groundwater management, including abstraction licensing, pollution control, and monitoring
  • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities

What We’re Looking For

We welcome applications from individuals at different stages in their career. You may:

  • Be at the start of your career and hold an MSc (or are working towards one) in Hydrogeology, Hydrology, Geology, or a related subject
  • Have 2-3+ years’ experience with consultancy or relevant industry experience
  • Be a Senior/Principal level professional with strong technical, commercial, and leadership qualities.

Across all levels, we’re looking for people who can demonstrate:

  • A positive, self-starting attitude with a real interest in learning and development
  • A pragmatic, hands-on approach to solving technical challenges
  • A desire to get stuck in quickly and apply expertise in a pragmatic way
  • A passion for building great relationships with colleagues and clients alike
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Confidence using GIS and the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and Word
  • Experience of UK water resources, hydrology or hydrogeology, and regulatory frameworks
  • Ability to interpret complex technical data and communicate it clearly
  • A proactive, flexible and self-starting approach
  • Strong teamwork and relationship-building skills
  • A full UK driving licence

At senior/principal levels, experience with project management, mentoring, client development, and commercial awareness is valued.
