A rare opportunity for a Health & Safety Manager or an ambitious Advisor ready to step up, working across a diverse range of new build and refurbishment projects within a well–established main contractor that genuinely values health and safety.

Are you a Health & Safety professional with a construction background and NEBOSH qualification looking for a role with real autonomy and responsibility? Do you want to play a key role in shaping health and safety standards across multiple projects?

With over 20 years' experience, this contractor has built a strong reputation for delivering high–quality projects across the UK. Their portfolio includes commercial new build and refurbishment schemes, primarily within the hotel sector, alongside care homes and restaurant projects, typically ranging up to 15M. They are a client–focused business with a strong emphasis on doing things the right way.

You’ll report directly to the Head of Health & Safety, operating across both office and site environments. You’ll take ownership of construction phase plans, carry out site inspections, review and update RAMS, and produce detailed reports, while working closely with site teams to drive best practice.

This role would suit either an experienced Manager or an Advisor looking to take the next step within a supportive, well–run business offering long–term development.

The Role

• Conduct site audits and inspections, ensuring full compliance with HSE regulations
• Review and manage RAMS, construction phase plans, and safety documentation
• Lead incident investigations and maintain accurate reporting systems
• Support site teams and promote continuous improvement in health & safety

The Person

• NEBOSH qualification (essential)
• Proven experience within the construction industry
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, hands–on approach
• Able to travel to sites nationwide and commute to Cardiff office
