Position Overview

Worthing College, part of the Chichester College Group. Teaching and Learning Manager – Visual Arts & Media, Social Sciences & Law (Ref: WC9890). Salary: £44,630 to £48,774 per annum. Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.

As our Teaching and Learning Manager for Visual Arts & Media, Social Sciences & Law, you will work collaboratively with a highly motivated and vibrant cluster of curriculum teams to design, develop, manage and review programmes across the different curriculum areas, ensuring student needs are met through inclusive high‑quality learning and provision. Your work with your team will ensure that the student journey at Worthing College is the best it can possibly be, providing a learning experience that they will thrive in and remember. Please note applicants from any subject background will be considered for this post, and your subject background does not need to be in Visual Arts & Media, Social Sciences or Law.

As a Teaching and Learning Manager, you will also have a positive impact on staff within your curriculum team. You will support staff to enhance and improve the quality of teaching, learning and assessment by coaching and providing advice, whilst encouraging and supporting innovation. Although primarily a management position, the role requires you to teach 3 hours per week, which will enable you to lead by example and ensure you are able to continue your teaching craft. The teaching requirement can be completed within any area of the Worthing College curriculum.
