Business Development Manager – Clinical SaaS
Overview
Eblex Group is supporting a growing SaaS platform focused on clinical research and drug development in the search for a Business Development Manager to drive commercial growth across biotech, pharmaceutical, and clinical research organizations.
This role will focus on developing new business opportunities, building relationships with clinical development leaders, and positioning the platform as a key technology solution.
The successful candidate will combine life sciences industry knowledge with SaaS sales experience, helping clinical teams adopt technology that improves efficiency, visibility, and decision-making across the clinical development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager
Business Development & Sales
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across biotech, pharmaceutical companies, CROs, and clinical research organizations
- Drive the full sales cycle from prospecting through contract negotiation and deal closure
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clinical operations, clinical development, data, and digital innovation leaders
- Develop strategic outreach campaigns targeting organizations involved in clinical trials
- Position the platform as a solution for improving clinical development workflows, data visibility, and operational efficiency
- Represent the company at industry conferences, networking events, and client meetings
- Maintain a strong understanding of clinical development trends, regulatory environments, and emerging digital technologies in clinical research
Sales Strategy & Pipeline Management
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline through outbound prospecting, inbound leads, and industry relationships
- Work closely with marketing to support demand generation and thought leadership initiatives
- Track and report sales activity, pipeline progression, and revenue forecasting
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and leadership teams to ensure customer needs are reflected in product development and messaging
- Support onboarding and handover processes to ensure successful client implementation and long-term engagement
Qualifications of the Business Development Manager
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles within life sciences or SaaS environments
- Demonstrated experience selling technology solutions to biotech, pharma, or CRO clients
- Strong understanding of clinical development processes and clinical research workflows
- Proven ability to manage the full sales lifecycle and close enterprise-level deals
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Preferred Experience
- Experience selling clinical trial technology, clinical data platforms, or digital health solutions
- Existing network within biotech, pharma, or clinical research organizations
- Familiarity with clinical operations, data management, or regulatory technology solutions
