Locations: Ripon, Market Weighton, Malton, Tadcaster
Contract: Seasonal / Temporary (6 months)
Hours: Flexible (includes extended hours during harvest)
Ripon Farm Services is a family-owned, multi-branch agricultural dealership operating across 13 sites in Yorkshire, Teesside, Lincolnshire, and Nottinghamshire. We pride ourselves on providing first-class support and solutions to modern farming operations, specialising in the renowned John Deere product range.
We are currently looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Harvesting Support Specialist to join our team during the busy harvest period. This hands-on role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with machinery, being part of a dynamic team, and contributing to the success of our customers during one of the most crucial times of the farming year.
Responsibilities
- Safely operating and transporting a variety of agricultural machinery, including tractors, combines, trailers, and telehandlers
- Supporting our Sales and Demo teams with machinery movements and preparations
- Carrying out routine maintenance checks and reporting any equipment issues
- Ensuring all work complies with Health & Safety legislation and road/farm transport protocols
- Assisting with general workshop and yard duties, including cleaning and preparing equipment
- Communicating effectively with team members and customers to ensure smooth operations
- Representing Ripon Farm Services and the John Deere brand with professionalism and integrity
Qualifications
- A valid driving licence
- Experience operating agricultural machinery and a solid understanding of farm environments
- A flexible and proactive approach to work, especially during peak periods
- A commitment to high standards of safety, service, and presentation
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn dealer systems
