A high-volume, all-day restaurant operation in Oxford is looking for a Senior Restaurant Manager to lead from the front. This is a fast-paced, premium environment with multiple revenue streams including restaurant dining, private events and terrace service. The role suits someone hands-on, commercially sharp and confident managing large teams while maintaining high standards across service and guest experience.
The Role
- Lead daily operations across a busy, multi-faceted restaurant environment
- Be highly visible on the floor: driving standards, service and energy across every shift
- Build, coach and develop a strong management and front of house team
- Take full ownership of guest experience, resolving feedback and driving repeat business
- Manage rotas, staffing levels and recruitment to meet business demand
- Oversee reservations strategy to maximise covers without compromising quality
- Control stock, wastage and costs across bar and restaurant operations
- Work closely with the kitchen team to align on service, standards and performance
- Run structured team briefings and regular performance reviews
- Monitor financial performance and drive profitability across all areas
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety and operational procedures
The Person
- Proven experience as a Restaurant General Manager or similar in a high-volume setting
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire and hold teams accountable
- Commercially aware with solid understanding of cost control and revenue optimisation
- Confident communicator with strong organisational skills
- Passionate about hospitality, food and guest experience
- Detail-focused with high personal standards
- Comfortable managing large teams and multiple service styles
- Resilient, hands-on and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
