Salary: Circa £65,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 4 - 5 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity
We're seeking a driven leader to be accountable for the safe and continued operation of EE&F test equipment and calibration activities. The M&C Facilities team leader will manage a multi-disciplinary team that spans maintenance, calibration, fixture design and lab support.
In this leadership role, you will:
- Be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of EE&F test equipment within world-class laboratories at Stevenage and Henlow
- Work alongside Facilities Management (FM) to maintain building infrastructure and lab facilities, including management of external contractors and servicing
- Lead a team (typically 7-8 engineers), managing resources, risks and budgets
- Gain experience of working alongside a variety of internal and external stakeholders
- Drive process improvements and support the Head of M&C Test in developing capabilities
- Support H & S Manager / Quality Lead to ensure process and equipment compliance
You’ll bring strong project management expertise, a solid understanding of test equipment and the ability to guide a team in a fast-paced engineering environment.
Essential
- Strong technical background in maintenance of test equipment and facilities
- Experience of maintenance and service contracts
- Effective planning & project management
- Effective leadership skills (interpersonal and influencing)
- Ability to develop and manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders
- Understanding of wider project and company strategy
Desirable
- Knowledgeable of the test methods used to perform environmental tests (vibration, shock, thermal, humidity, low pressure etc.)
- Experience of supporting capex process
- Experiences with calibration processes
- Health & Safety background
