Department Description
The Technology IAM Operations Graduate role is within the Support function, which provides technical support for all applications. The first‑line Application Support team runs a 24/5 global front door to keep us up and running, backed up by business‑aligned Application Support teams that specialise in maintaining their division’s applications.
Role Summary
The Technology Graduate – IAM Operations Analyst is responsible for managing user access across multiple systems and regions, ensuring security and compliance, maintaining documentation and audit trails, assessing and implementing role‑based access controls, collaborating with IT, security and business leaders, investigating access‑related security incidents, promoting user access policy awareness, handling high‑priority requests, managing Jira ticket queues and supporting IAM initiatives’ alignment with organisational goals.
Overall Responsibilities
- User Access Management: Oversee user provisioning, deprovisioning and role‑based access control across multiple systems and regions.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements such as GDPR and SOX and internal security policies.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain documentation of user access policies and audit logs for internal and external reporting.
- Role‑based Access Control Assessment (RBAC): Ensure clear role definitions and minimal permissions to reduce risk.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with IT, security and business leaders to align IAM initiatives with organisational goals.
- Incident Management: Lead investigations into access‑related security incidents and recommend remediation measures.
- Training and Awareness: Educate staff on user access policies, procedures and security awareness.
- High‑priority Request Handling: Ensure timely and compliant processing of high‑priority requests and adherence to SLA guidelines.
- Jira Queue Monitoring: Monitor Jira queues and manage tickets within agreed SLA’s.

Skills and Experience (Essential)
- Technical expertise in IAM tools (Okta, SailPoint, CyberArk, Azure AD) and technologies such as SSO, MFA and RBAC.
- Knowledge of security concepts like least privilege, identity governance and PAM.
- Problem‑solving skills: identify and resolve IAM‑related security issues.
- Communication skills: work with cross‑functional teams and explain complex concepts to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Analytical skills: assess user access data, audit trails and IAM configurations for compliance and security.
- Experience in a regulated environment and knowledge of associated risk and compliance requirements.
