Shift Manager

We're recruiting for a full time, permanent Shift Manager, working any 5 out of 7 days on rotating 06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00 shifts. If you thrive in a fast paced warehouse environment and enjoy leading teams to deliver exceptional performance, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

In this role, you'll lead a team of Warehouse Team Managers and operational colleagues, ensuring your shift runs safely, efficiently and in line with performance expectations.

You'll receive a competitive salary of £40,000 - £44,000, plus 25 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays, pension, life assurance, access to a 24/7 GP, employee assistance programme and the MyBenefits platform offering retail discounts, cashback options and more.

What you'll do on a typical day:

• Lead and motivate Team Managers and colleagues to achieve KPIs and operational targets
• Ensure safe working practices are always followed, driving a strong health & safety culture
• Manage performance, conduct, absence and training requirements across your shift
• Deliver effective shift briefs, operational handovers and communication updates
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and operational standards

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Proven experience managing teams in a high volume warehouse or logistics environment
• Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels
• A proactive, solution focused approach and the confidence to make decisions under pressure
• Ability to build strong working relationships and support team development
• Excellent organisational skills and commitment to safety and compliance
