Family Support Worker (Part-time)
- Hourly Rate: £16.62
- Location: Pontefract, West Yorkshire, WF9
- Job Type: Part-time (12 weeks initially with potential extension)
- Working Hours: Monday, Tuesday, and either Wednesday morning or afternoon (08:30am-17:00pm)
We are seeking a dedicated Family Support Worker to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is crucial for covering Family Time contact, primarily involving the transportation and supervision of children. The position is initially for 12 weeks, with the possibility of extension as we look to recruit a permanent member of staff.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Transporting children to and from contact locations across Wakefield and occasionally out of area, such as Hull.
- Supervising family time contacts, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for children.
- Coordinating with other part-time workers to cover the start of the week, ensuring seamless service delivery.
- Recording supervision details accurately using the Liquid Logic system.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years experience working with children in a supervisory role.
- A full UK driving Licence and access to own vehicle
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Health and Care or Childcare.
- Prior experience in family time contact or children's services is essential.
- Ability to start immediately without the need for an extensive training period.
- Must have access to a car, the ability to transport children, and hold business insurance.
- Basic computer skills to manage recording on the Liquid Logic system.
- Candidates from residential backgrounds with experience supervising family time are highly desirable due to transferable skills.
