Deputy Manager - Children's Residential Care
Ashford, Kent and require driving and acsess to own car. This job roles will have an additional £6240 as the roles require 2 nights a week sleep ins which are paid at an additional £60 per sleep in.
Managment - there are two different contracts avaliable.
39 hours weekly : Probation - £35,124 After - £36362.04 + the addional ( £6240 for the sleep ins before and after probation )
45 hours weekly :Probation - £40528.40 + After - £42,956 + the addional ( £6240 for the sleep ins before and after probation)
As Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of a residential home, ensuring high standards of care and safeguarding are consistently delivered.
You will play a key role in leading the staff team, supporting young people with complex needs, and ensuring the home operates in line with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the overall management of the residential home
- Lead, supervise and develop a team of care staff
- Ensure high standards of care, safeguarding and behaviour support
- Contribute to care planning and risk assessments
- Support with rota planning and operational organisation
- Deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager
- Liaise with external professionals, families and local authorities
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and internal policies
Requirements
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Experience within a children's residential care setting
- Previous experience xwzovoh supervising or leading staff
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- Knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations & Quality Standards
- Experience supporting young people with emotional/behavioural needs
- Full UK driving licence
