Teacher of Sociology (A-Level)

Permanent | Start: SeptemberBushey, HertfordshireSalary: Competitive, dependent on experience

A well-regarded Jewish secondary school in Bushey is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Sociology Teacher with the ability to teach A-Level Sociology, to join their team on a permanent basis from September.

The Role

• Teaching A-Level Sociology
• Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons
• Supporting students to achieve strong examination outcomes
• Monitoring progress and providing effective feedback
• Taking on Form Tutor responsibilities
• Contributing positively to the wider life of the school

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Confident teaching A-Level Sociology
• A clear and confident communicator who builds strong relationships with students and colleagues
• Organised, reflective and committed to high standards of teaching and learning
• ECT candidates are welcome to apply and will be supported appropriately

• Fridays are half days, supporting a healthy work–life balance
