REED FE are currently seeking a qualified British Sign Language (BSL) Communication Support Worker (CSW) to support a young person in education. This role is ideal for someone passionate about providing essential communication support and enhancing the educational experience of students with hearing impairments.BSL Communication Support Worker (CSW)
- Location: South London
- Job Type: Part-time, 3 days pw Term-time only
- Working Hours: Monday to Wednesday
- Start Date: ASAP
Day-to-day of the role of a BSL CSW :
- Provide BSL interpretation and support to a learner, ensuring they have full access to educational content.
- Work closely with educational staff to adapt materials and teaching methods to meet the learner's needs.
- Facilitate communication between the learner, peers, and teachers.
- Monitor and support the learner's progress and well-being within the educational setting.
- Maintain regular communication with teachers and parents to discuss the learner's development and any additional support needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in British Sign Language to level 3 or above
- Experience as a Communication Support Worker or similar role within an educational setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to supporting the educational and personal development of students with hearing impairments. xwzovoh
