Inspection Operator – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

Swindon | Onsite

Initial 2-week contract | Immediate Start

12-hour shifts | 4 on / 4 off | Days & Nights


We are currently seeking detail-oriented Production / QA Inspection Operators to support a busy pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Swindon. This is a fully onsite role requiring candidates who are available to start ASAP with no notice period.


This opportunity is ideal for individuals with experience in GMP manufacturing, pharmaceutical production, packaging inspection, or quality control environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct visual inspection of tablet blister packs for defects including: damaged foil, broken or missing tablets, sealing issues, packaging defects
  • Remove defective units in line with SOPs and report findings to the Shift Supervisor
  • Verify batch information including lot numbers, expiry dates, and packaging integrity
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the inspection area
  • Support product changeovers between batches when required
  • Escalate deviations and quality concerns to Supervisors or QA teams
  • Follow GMP standards and all site safety procedures, including gowning protocols


Requirements

  • Previous experience within pharmaceutical, food manufacturing, medical device, or regulated production environments preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects accurately
  • Comfortable working 12-hour day and night shifts
  • Ability to follow SOPs and GMP procedures
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced production environment
  • Must be available to start immediately


Shift Pattern

  • 4 days on / 4 days off rotation
  • 12-hour shifts covering days and nights
  • Average 48 hours across working rotation
