ACJ Search are supporting a Norfolk based organisation who are recruiting for a Principal Mechanical Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

The role is focussed on delivering robust, manufacturable deigns and ensuring that products operate reliably under real-world conditions. You would be involved in the full development cycle from concept through to validation and product readiness.


Key responsibilities of the role would include:

  • Lead the mechanical design and integration of electric machines
  • Define and develop thermal management strategies
  • Own the design and integration of key components
  • Integrate sensing solutions
  • Carry out and guide design analysis


We are keen to speak with people with the following skills and experience:


  • Proven experience in electric machine design
  • Experience designing rotor systems, including magnet retention and high-speed operation
  • Experience with stator construction and winding integration
  • Experience of working within multi-disciplinary engineering teams
