Due to rapid growth and internal promotions, I’m exclusively recruiting for an experienced Senior Product Developer/Garment Technologist to play a key role for leading their outerwear department of an expanding brand in effectively managing complex processes without compromising on product quality.



Leading the department and a team, you will be:



  • Working with suppliers to ensure they adhere to European / Global requirements of product development and quality.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with vendors, mills, and suppliers
  • Working in close partnership with Design to develop the collection from initial concept to completion
  • Creating and distributing technical packs for garment construction
  • Involved in Fit and construction approval
  • Assessing and approving test reports
  • Maintaining the critical path



This role would suit candidates with:


  • Recent experience as a Senior Garment Technologist or Senior Product Developer from a fashion/technical outerwear background – ideally from another retailer or brand
  • In-depth knowledge of construction and the product development process within outerwear essential
  • Ability to work in partnership with Design teams understanding and interpreting their product vision
  • People management experience – providing direction and mentoring junior members of the team throughout their career path
  • Experience managing vendor relationships, delivering clear briefs, leveraging relationships to meet demands and negotiating costs.
