Panama Shifts – 12 Hour Days & Nights

Gap Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturing client in Telford for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive engineer who can work independently, troubleshoot faults efficiently, and support continuous improvement across a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on production machinery
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
• Reduce downtime and improve machine performance
• Support installations, upgrades, and engineering improvement projects
• Maintain accurate maintenance records
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with H&S procedures
• Assist with general facilities and building maintenance when required

What We’re Looking For:

• City & Guilds qualification or completed engineering apprenticeship
• Multi-skilled maintenance experience within manufacturing
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding ability
• Knowledge of PLC systems and engineering drawings
• 17th/18th Edition qualification desirable
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Positive, proactive attitude with strong problem-solving skills

Desirable:

• Experience within automated manufacturing environments

• FLT / IPAF licences
