THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re looking for a commercially driven and relationship-focused Senior National Account Manager to join our Sales team and lead key retail partnerships.

This is more than a job — it’s a chance to play a pivotal role in our growth journey, shaping customer strategy, unlocking new business opportunities, and taking trading relationships to the next level.

In this role, you will:

• Input into and execute channel strategy across key retail accounts
• Deliver new business in line with volume and margin targets
• Drive sales growth through effective account development and management
• Build and deliver strategic account plans to maximise opportunities
• Manage and grow trading relationships across Own Label and Branded portfolios
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, Technical, Marketing and Innovation teams
• Ensure smooth end-to-end delivery from order to cash
• Monitor market trends, customer developments and competitor activity
• Identify and unlock new business opportunities through insight and analysis
• Lead commercial negotiations to optimise profitability
• Provide regular performance updates and insights to senior leadership
• Take a long-term, strategic approach to account management aligned with both customer and business goals

ABOUT YOU

You’re an experienced commercial leader who thrives in the fast-paced UK retail environment. You know how to build relationships, unlock growth and deliver results.

Experience & Background

• 3-4 years Extensive experience in commercial roles within the UK Retail sector
• Experience managing key UK retail accounts within FMCG, including exposure to discounter customers such as Lidl
• Proven track record of delivering growth and managing key accounts
• Strong understanding of costing and pricing strategies

Key Skills

• Highly skilled negotiator, deal maker and relationship builder
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance volume, margin and long-term growth
• Excellent communication and presentation skills at all levels
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market and customer data
• Broad understanding of cross-functional areas including supply chain, technical, finance, operations, innovation and marketing
