London / Hybrid

Contract until end of November 2026

About the Role

We’re looking for an organised and proactive Operations Administrative Associate to join the HSBC Innovation Banking UK Product Implementation Team.

This is a newly created role designed to provide essential operational and administrative support to a very busy specialist team that facilitates the end‑to‑end delivery of products to clients’ post‑sale. You’ll play a key back‑office role, handling internal processes, coordination and documentation that enable client implementations to progress smoothly.

This role suits someone who enjoys working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment, is process‑driven, and is looking to build experience within banking operations and client delivery.

About the Team

The Product Implementation team sits within Treasury & Trade Solutions (TTS), part of the wider HSBC Innovation Banking UK Commercial Organisation. The team is made up of subject‑matter experts across payments, liquidity, cards and trade solutions and works closely with internal product, technology and operations teams.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an Operations Administrative Associate, you’ll support day‑to‑day operational activity, including:

  • Providing administrative and operational support across transaction banking and trade finance product deliveries
  • Managing a busy shared inbox (circa 4,000 emails per month), triaging and actioning requests
  • Raising internal tickets and coordinating account setup and system enablement activities
  • Issuing, managing and tracking client application packs
  • Supporting core banking system setup and internal processes
  • Maintaining accurate updates within the project management platform
  • Supporting system demonstrations and internal training sessions
  • Coordinating with internal teams to ensure required actions are completed
  • Identifying process improvements to increase efficiency
  • Providing visibility and updates to the Head of Implementation, escalating where appropriate

This is a supporting, operational role rather than a hands‑on technical implementation position.

What We’re Looking For

Essential skills & experience:

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Process‑driven, with good attention to detail
  • Self‑motivated and able to manage workload independently
  • Comfortable working in a busy, high‑volume environment
  • Good time management and prioritisation skills
  • Proactive, flexible and adaptable
  • Previous experience in an operations, administrative, or client service support role
  • Confident using Microsoft Office
  • Acts with integrity and aligns with HSBC values

Desirable:

  • Interest in commercial banking or financial services
  • Basic understanding of banking operations (not essential)
  • Willingness to learn new products, systems and regulatory requirements

Why Join HSBC Innovation Banking?

  • Exposure to a broad range of banking products and operational processes
  • Experience within a well‑regarded Innovation Banking environment
  • Supportive, collaborative team culture
