We are now looking for an exceptional operational leader to join us as Director of Operations – London Diagnostics.

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity overseeing a significant London-based diagnostics portfolio, including Community Diagnostic Centres (CDCs) and Ultrasound services, during a period of continued growth, transformation, and increasing demand across healthcare services.

You will play a key role in shaping how diagnostic services are delivered across London — leading operational performance, driving service excellence, developing high-performing teams, and building trusted partnerships across the NHS.

What you’ll be leading

As Director of Operations, you will provide leadership and accountability across a diverse operational portfolio, ensuring services are safe, efficient, patient-focused and commercially sustainable.

You will:

• Lead operational delivery across London Diagnostics services
• Drive performance, quality, governance and patient experience outcomes
• Develop strong relationships with NHS partners and key stakeholders
• Support continued CDC growth and service development
• Lead operational transformation and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure services remain resilient, scalable and responsive to demand
• Provide visible, values-led leadership to operational teams
• Work collaboratively with clinical, commercial and corporate colleagues
• Hold accountability for operational budgets, workforce planning and service performance

About you

We are looking for a credible, commercially aware and people-focused senior leader with significant operational leadership experience within healthcare.

You will bring:

• Senior operational leadership experience within healthcare services
• A strong understanding of NHS systems and stakeholder environments
• Experience leading large, complex operational teams
• A track record of delivering performance improvement and transformation
• Strong financial and commercial awareness
• Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills
• A collaborative and visible leadership style
• Passion for delivering outstanding patient care and service excellence

Experience within diagnostics, community healthcare or outsourced healthcare services would be highly advantageous.
