An established multidisciplinary consultancy is looking to strengthen its Environmental Impact Assessment team due to a strong and growing project pipeline. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced EIA professional to take the next step in their career, working on a diverse range of complex development and infrastructure schemes across the UK.
Projects currently include strategic urban extensions, large-scale residential developments, town centre regeneration, mixed-use masterplans, and selected infrastructure, rail and energy schemes.
The Role
As a Senior EIA Consultant, you will play a key role in managing and delivering impact assessment projects from inception through to submission.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and coordinating EIA projects, particularly for major development schemes.
- Acting as primary author and editor of Environmental Statements and related documentation.
- Managing multidisciplinary inputs and reviewing specialist technical chapters.
- Liaising with clients, design teams, planning authorities and consultees.
- Overseeing project programmes, budgets and invoicing.
- Supporting fee proposals, tender submissions and business development activities.
- Attending networking and industry engagement events.
About You
You will be degree qualified in environmental science or a related discipline and bring:
- Minimum of 4+ years’ experience within a consultancy environment.
- A strong track record of delivering proportionate EIAs on complex UK projects.
- Solid understanding of EIA Regulations and the UK planning system.
- Membership of a relevant professional body (or working towards chartership).
- Excellent written, analytical and organisational skills.
- A proactive, commercially aware and detail-focused approach.
