Job Title: HR Business Partner
Reporting to: HR Director
This is a hands‑on role that will get you out from behind a desk, with regular travel to our sites to build relationships and support our teams where the action happens.
We are looking for a dynamic HRBP to coach our leaders, champion our culture, and keep our people operations running. This is a high‑impact role where you’ll be driving the people agenda, owning end‑to‑end ER, and delivering the kind of support that keeps our teams thriving.
Employee Relations (ER)
- Act as the primary advisor on all people‑related matters across designated sites, managing both complex and routine ER cases end‑to‑end.
- Coach General Managers and senior management teams to navigate ER matters in line with current UK employment legislation and company policy.
- Lead and support the full investigation process, including drafting allegations, preparing hearing documentation, and attending disciplinary, grievance, and appeal hearings where required.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risk by addressing employee concerns in a timely, fair, and commercially sound manner.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date ER case records and trackers, ensuring consistency and compliance.
- Manage long‑term sickness and capability processes end‑to‑end, including welfare meetings, absence reviews, and advising on reasonable adjustments in partnership with Occupational Health.
Coaching & Business Partnering
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, providing coaching, challenge, and guidance to drive effective people management.
- Build management capability through real‑time coaching on performance, engagement, and leadership practices.
- Use people data and insights to identify trends, inform decision‑making, and recommend actionable solutions aligned to the People strategy.
- Partner with the HR Director to deliver key people initiatives and strategic projects that support business growth and performance.
- Support broader business needs through ad‑hoc projects and initiatives as required.
- Support the HR Director in rolling out company‑wide engagement initiatives.
Policy & Process
- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of HR policies and processes, ensuring alignment with best practice and business objectives.
- Drive consistency and compliance across all sites, embedding a strong people‑focused culture.
- Contribute to the evolution of People systems and practices to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
Performance & Talent Management
- Coach managers on annual Talent Review frameworks, including goal setting and improvement plans.
- Partner with operational leaders post‑talent reviews to identify high‑potential individuals and implement targeted development and succession plans.
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Partner with the Operations team to support the recruitment of management roles, ensuring quality hiring aligned with business needs.
- Lead and deliver engaging company induction programmes to support successful onboarding and cultural integration.
Payroll & Reporting
- Support the Payroll Manager by overseeing tronc changes including submission of bi‑weekly tronc reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Learning & Development
- Design and deliver annual HR training programmes to close capability gaps and strengthen leadership effectiveness across management teams.

Qualifications
- Previous HR generalist experience working in a fast‑paced, customer‑facing industry.
- Experience of partnering with multiple stakeholder groups.
- Strong influencing skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Resilient and adaptable - comfortable switching between admin, strategy, and high‑risk ER without missing a beat.
- Analytical & curious with the ability to use people data to spot trends, identify risks, and turn insight into practical, business‑focused action.
