About the role

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer in our automotive finance technology business, which powers our finance consumer journey on Autotrader and helps our customers optimise their finance operations. It's a service-oriented architecture primarily in .NET 10 processing millions of loan enquiries each month. As a team, our software engineers are responsible for ensuring service availability and responsiveness and continue to improve our systems with 50+ lenders.

What we're looking for

• Comfortable working with .NET Core (.NET 5+ or C# 9+)
• Experience with RESTful APIs and web services knowledge
• Experience designing service oriented applications
• Knowledge of relational databases (SQL)
• Experience with RabbitMQ or other event-driven architectures.
• Building high-throughput applications, with considered application of caching (Redis).
• Knowledge of structured logging, including tooling such as Kibana, Elastic Search, application monitoring / alerting
• A structured approach to development and testing with a focus on continuous delivery and automation.
• Proven experience leading and mentoring others, helping them grow.

Salary and benefits

We’re offering a salary of £50,000 – £70,000, plus an additional 10% of your salary awarded in shares each year. These shares become yours in yearly instalments over the next three years, and you can choose to sell them or keep them.
