This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving retention, deepening strategic customer relationships and growing multimillion‑pound contracts with some of the UK’s largest organisations, including major financial institutions.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, coach and develop an 8‑person Account Management team to deliver a high‑performance culture
  • Own and deliver the customer development strategy for UK Mail
  • Build deep, trust‑based relationships with senior stakeholders across large, complex organisations
  • Retain and grow multimillion‑pound contracts through exceptional service, strong commercial understanding and proactive account planning
  • Develop compelling commercial proposals, leveraging strong financial and operational insight
  • Negotiate multi‑year contracts with major corporate postal users
  • Oversee tender responses and renewals to secure long‑term customer commitments
  • Drive profitability within existing accounts by improving efficiency and service quality
  • Act as a key partner to operational, commercial, finance and product teams
  • Use customer insight and market intelligence to influence product development and commercial strategy
  • Sponsor several strategic customer relationships at senior level

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience managing large, complex corporate accounts
  • Strong track record of team leadership, coaching and building capability
  • Service‑industry background preferred (e.g., logistics, financial services, B2B service providers)
  • Experience working with major financial institutions highly desirable
  • Skilled in creating and negotiating high‑value commercial proposals
  • Strong understanding of commercial drivers, profitability and operational performance
  • Experience operating in fast‑paced, high‑growth environments
