Lead Veterinary Surgeon
Salary up to £78,000 FTE, DOE. Relocation allowance up to £5,000.
We are delighted to offer a rare opportunity for a Lead Vet to work with the Practice Director to lead our Clinical Team at The Oak Veterinary Group.
The practice is based in the beautiful part of West Wales in Pembrokeshire surrounded by stunning coastal and countryside.
This role offers real scope to influence clinical standards, team development and overall practice growth in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the clinical team, working closely with the Practice Director
- Deliver high standards of clinical care across a varied caseload (consultations and surgery)
- Mentor and develop less experienced vets, supporting case discussions and workups
- Contribute to driving the practice forward, team engagement and a positive practice culture
- Support business performance, operational success and practice growth
Working Pattern
- Full‑time, 37.5 hours per week
- Shifts between 8:00 am–7:00 pm (Monday–Friday) on a rota basis
- Saturday mornings (8:30 am–1:30 pm) on a rotational basis
- Primarily based at Haverfordwest with rotation across branch sites
You Might Be a Great Fit If…
- A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS
- Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
