Who are we?

Estelle Manor is a rural retreat set on an 85-acre estate in Oxfordshire. The manor has four restaurants, an extraordinary 3,000 sq metre Roman-inspired spa- Eynsham Baths, 108 bedrooms and a gym with class studios and padel courts. Plus, there’s a kids’ club for the little ones and a workspace.

The Role

As a Chief Engineer at Estelle Manor, you will lead the Engineering team in maintaining the estate to the highest luxury hospitality standards, overseeing all MEP systems, preventative maintenance programmes, and property operations. You will be responsible for managing budgets, contractors, compliance, and departmental performance, while providing strong leadership, mentoring, and development for your team. This role requires a hands‑on engineering professional with excellent technical knowledge, operational expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest and member experiences in a safe, efficient, and beautifully maintained environment.

Who we are looking for?

  • Proven experience in a senior engineering role within hospitality, luxury hotels or estates.
  • Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems, maintenance operations and compliance.
  • Previous line management experience with the ability to lead, motivate and develop teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, working collaboratively with HODs, operational teams, Finance, People Team and external contractors.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets, contractors and departmental performance effectively.
  • Hands‑on, proactive approach with a focus on high standards and guest experience.

The on target earning potential for this role is £54,500 per annum based on a 40 hour contract – comprising a base salary of £51,500, plus a qualified estimate of £3,000 in gratuities and service charge*.

About gratuities & service charge

  • Gratuities (tips) and service charge are paid on a pro‑rata basis regardless of your role.
  • It is estimated that in 2026, our full‑time employees can expect to receive in the range of £3,000 in addition to their annual salary.
