Cafe Manager - Margate Digital

About The Role

We’re looking for an experienced and proactive Café Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operation of our busy student and staff café at the Margate Digital campus. In this role you will oversee all aspects of the café’s running, including planning, organisation, and ensuring a welcoming, efficient environment for all customers.

Responsibilities

A key part of the role will be supporting and supervising students with learning disabilities and difficulties during their work placements. You will provide guidance, structure, and encouragement to help them develop practical skills, confidence and independence in a real working environment, ensuring their experience is both positive and meaningful.

About You

We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative individual who will give the Margate Digital café its own identity and create a real point of difference within the group. You will have good administrative and organisational skills and at least 2 years’ experience working in a café or catering environment that involved cooking meals and snack foods.

Qualifications

• Good communication and interpersonal skills – both verbal and written, including customer service
• Health & Safety qualification related to relevant work area or equivalent (e.g., Basic Food Hygiene)
