Senior Quality Control Manager
Join the Superdrug Head Office. We are looking for a Senior Quality Control Manager to manage Own Brand product development, quality and supplier compliance across assigned categories.
Responsibilities
- Manage Own Brand product development, quality and supplier base across various categories in collaboration with commercial, design and supply chain teams.
- Deliver agreed new product development (NPD) plans by providing technical expertise throughout the product development process, ensuring pre‑ and post‑launch product and supplier compliance with ASW Guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Develop Own Brand product ranges across all categories, setting out technical and corporate social responsibility requirements.
- Ensure all suppliers comply with ASW requirements and maintain compliance with ASW guidelines and legal requirements.
- Deliver technical elements of all critical paths to budget/cost and within set timescales.
- Act as a technical expert, being a source of technical information, standards and legal requirements across all categories.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Keep up to date with technical innovation to develop market‑leading products.
- Undertake store and supplier visits.
- Manage a small senior quality control team and contribute to the development and growth of the Superdrug technical team.
Key Stakeholders
- Own Brand team, Commercial team, Store operations, Customer relations, Legal, ASW Group Technical
- Suppliers, Test houses, Industry experts, Fragrance houses, Raw material suppliers.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent in Cosmetic Science.
- Minimum 8 years experience in Cosmetics & Toiletries.
- Healthcare experience is advantageous.
- Managing and coaching junior team members is advantageous.
- Proven experience in a fast‑paced commercial environment.
- Commercial acumen.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workload.
- Able to work on own initiative and problem‑solve.
- Team player.
- Resilient.

Working Hours
37.5 hours per week, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm. Hybrid working available.
