Our client is a purpose-driven FMCG company committed to ethical and sustainable practices, seeking an experienced Category Manager to drive growth across their grocery portfolio. This is your opportunity to shape category strategy for a business that values impact alongside commercial success!

You’ll manage five product categories, developing insights that guide positioning and commercial opportunities with key retail customers. Working closely with sales and marketing teams, you’ll translate market data into strategic recommendations that drive business growth and enhance shopper engagement across multiple channels.

What you’ll be doing from Day 1

  • Develop category insights using market data and shopper behaviour analysis
  • Collaborate with customer account managers to drive category positioning
  • Interpret Nielsen, Circana and similar tools to identify opportunities
  • Provide recommendations on ranging, merchandising and shopper strategy
  • Build and maintain relationships with key customer and internal contacts
  • Highlight business opportunities and risks from a category perspective
  • Present findings and recommendations to sales and marketing teams
  • Contribute category thinking to all business planning and decisions

What we are looking for

  • FMCG, grocery retail or agency background in a category management or similar commercial role. Convenience channel experience would be great!
  • Proven track record managing multiple product categories
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency with strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Experience with Kantar, IRI, Nielsen, Dunnhumby or similar tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, plus impactful presentation skills
  • Commercial judgment and business acumen
  • A proactive, energetic team player with drive for results
