Pastoral Lead - High Peak Area
Tradewind Recruitment is proud to be working in partnership with a specialist educational setting in the High Peak area to recruit an experienced and compassionate Pastoral Lead.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong, empathetic professional to play a key role in supporting the wellbeing, behaviour, and personal development of students who require additional guidance to succeed in education.
The Role
- Leading on pastoral care, wellbeing, and behaviour support across the setting
- Developing and implementing effective behaviour and support strategies
- Supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs
- Working closely with teaching staff, external agencies, and families
- Managing and mentoring support staff to ensure consistent pastoral approaches
- Monitoring attendance, engagement, and student progress from a pastoral perspective
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Proven experience in a pastoral, safeguarding, or behaviour-focused role within education
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and support others
- A calm, resilient, and solution-focused approach
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
