Public Health Wales is expanding its dedicated IT Network Engineering team and recruiting a new, permanent Senior Networking Engineer.

You will assist the Technical Services Manager in delivering networking services and providing expertise across the trust. Our experienced team maintains and develops the trust's Wales-wide local network infrastructure and deals with escalated queries to enable the delivery of trust programmes.

Main duties of the job

Working closely with our Cloud Team, the role will contribute to the development of Azure Cloud Platform networking, while advances in high-speed mobile data and satellite technologies create new opportunities for delivering connectivity to non-fixed sites.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Job responsibilities

This role requires strong communication skills, a high degree of problem solving ability, specialist technical skills, attention to detail and someone who can perform to a high standard whilst under pressure in a busy environment.
