Rebellion Studios, an independent video game developer, is seeking a Lead UI Artist to head a team of UI artists and designers on multiple upcoming titles.
Responsibilities
- Lead the UI team, design and iterate UX, and drive the UI/UX deliverables for the project.
- Build a UX strategy for a brand-new game, helping to shape the UX vision in collaboration with experts from the Design team.
- Drive the delivery and quality of the UI for the project, mentoring and supporting UI designers, artists, and technical designers.
- Proactively manage team performance and development through regular feedback and performance reviews.
- Guide the creation of high-quality UI, ensuring it meets the artistic vision and technical constraints.
- Take ownership of UI design documentation, helping to define style, usability goals, and player experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help define and evolve workflows, pipelines, and long-term UI/UX goals.
Qualifications
- Experience designing UX/UI for video games.
- Experience managing a small team through all phases of the project lifecycle.
- Portfolio showing experience designing high-fidelity UI using industry standard tools such as Adobe XD, Illustrator, Sketch, Figma, etc.
- Able to effectively communicate while building long-term, trusting relationships with a wide range of people.
- Passionate about video games and game development.
