Internal Audit Senior Consultant (Evergreen)

As a Senior Consultant within Internal Audit, you will be responsible for undertaking a range of complex and specialist audits at client sites, in accordance with our Internal Audit standards. You will work both independently and lead a team to deliver high‑quality internal audits within required timescales and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Prepare draft internal audit reports and working paper files to high quality standards and within the SLA on allocated audits.
• Lead and supervise junior staff on assignments, providing staff motivation, discipline and technical audit guidance.
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across a wide variety of clients.
• Manage, perform and control internal audit assignments, including assignment planning, programming, conduct and control of audit work, and reporting findings.
• Assist management in ensuring assignments are completed on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Strong experience working in internal audit with public sector clients.
• Ability to review and control the technical content of others’ work to ensure compliance with relevant UK regulation and Internal Audit Standards.
• Ability to form and foster positive working relationships with colleagues, management and clients to understand their needs and requirements.
