About the Cromwell Hospital

The Cromwell Hospital is a major international private hospital in West London serving UK and international patients. The hospital has 180 beds and 4 theatres, medical and surgical wards, cardiac centre, CDU, levels 2 and 3 full intensive care facilities, paediatrics, diagnostic services, physiotherapy, a dedicated day surgery unit, and a new cath lab. Our radiography department is equipped with state-of-the-art technology including two general X-Ray rooms, one fluoroscopy suite (also used as an X-Ray room), one Cone Beam CT scanner, one Bone Density scanner with advanced body composition analysis capabilities, two state-of-the-art mobile X-Ray units, and four theatre image intensifiers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality CT and X-ray imaging according to departmental protocols
• Support and lead the team during shifts, including deputising for the Superintendent when required
• Participate in out-of-hours, night, weekend, and on-call rotas
• Train and mentor junior radiographers and new starters
• Carry out clinical audits and support equipment QA processes
• Ensure safe practice in accordance with IR(ME)R 2017, IRR17 and local rules
• Work both independently and collaboratively in a busy and fast-paced environment

Essential qualifications

• BSc/Diploma in Radiography
• HCPC Registration
• Significant CT experience (minimum 2 years)
• Strong general X-ray experience
• Excellent communication, organisational skills, and attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Desirable qualifications

• Evidence of CPD
• Postgraduate Certificate in CT
• Siemens CT experience
• Previous leadership or mentoring experience
