Salary £45,000 – £65,000 + Package

A leading London-based Principal Contractor is seeking both Design Managers & Assistant Design Managers to join its growing design team. This role is ideal for a qualified Architect currently working in practice who wants to transition into a main contractor environment and gain exposure to live project delivery.

Role overview

Reporting to a Head of Design, you will support the design function across complex London projects, including:

  • Managing design information from RIBA Stage 3 onwards
  • Coordinating architects, structural and MEP consultants
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, and technical submissions
  • Supporting design programmes and consultant deliverables
  • Attending design team and site meetings
  • Assisting with construction-phase design management

Ideal background

  • Qualified Architect (ARB / RIBA or equivalent)
  • Degree-qualified in Architecture
  • Experience within a UK architectural practice
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of UK Building Regulations
  • Knowledge and experience of the BSA 2022 (GW2)
  • (Previous contractor experience is not required)
