We are keen to hear from you.

ABOUT MAX FORDHAM

Here, sustainability is not just a guiding fundament but an everyday practice, woven into the fabric of our projects and professional culture. As you expand your expertise, you’ll play a vital role in delivering technical solutions that advance both environmental responsibility and engineering quality, ensuring every project meaningfully contributes to the legacy of the built environment.

Max Fordham is an award-winning MEP engineering practice that is owned by the people who work here, and we are all committed to leading the industry in tackling the challenges posed by the climate and biodiversity crises.

We believe it is a shared responsibility to look after each other, care for our communities, and create a sustainable world. We pride ourselves on providing an open, inclusive and supportive environment for our employees and partners.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Graduate Engineers are the future of our practice.

Working as part of the Cambridge Office you will be supported as you learn – from developing a well thought out brief, to delivering a building or project that exceeds the client’s expectations. You will learn to become an engineer who understands buildings in detail and at their highest level whilst working on interesting and complex projects. You will learn to think about buildings in an integrated way - how to make them work better and use less energy.

Right now, we are looking for graduate engineers who are keen to influence positive outcomes: meeting the needs of clients and our society; using design to proactively respond to the climate emergency; communicating clearly and collaborating effectively with our clients and others to deliver world-class sustainable buildings.

ABOUT YOU

If you are curious about pushing the boundaries to make buildings work better, and use less energy, then this could be the role for you. You will be inspired by beautiful engineering design.

You are likely to have a science, engineering, or mathematics background with a grade 2:1 or equivalent.

You will be able to work on your own, whilst also enjoying contributing to the process of collaborative working and contributing positively to the team, instilling confidence in others as you learn to interact confidently and clearly with colleagues and external collaborators.

WHAT WE OFFER

Please note that all applicants must have an existing and valid right to work in the UK. As a consequence of the changes made to the Skilled Worker route by the UK Government, we are unable to sponsor Skilled Worker visas for this position.
