What You Will Do
The Service Engineer performs preventive and corrective maintenance on the STERIS/Cantel product lines and field troubleshooting primarily in their service area.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on STERIS/Cantel product lines, related product lines, and competitive equipment, including disassembly, replacement, repair, rewiring or reassembly as required, troubleshooting, adjusting/calibrating, and certifying equipment using standard and specialized tools and test equipment (e.g., schematics, diagrams, technical manuals).
- Administrative duties as assigned including computer synchronization, completing service reports, and maintaining tools and parts inventory to prescribed levels as required by Team Leaders and Service Manager.
- Use corporate applications (Siebel, Oracle, Sales Connection, others) to handle daily activity.
- Develop and maintain effective, communicative relationships with customers, managers, support functions and the sales organization.
- Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor when working with customers, contractors, management, and fellow employees; adhere to customer protocols and STERIS and Customer Health & Safety protocols and procedures.
- Provide solutions to customers to enhance sales and growth in the field through effective positioning of STERIS/Cantel products and services, identifying opportunities, and passing leads to management and sales.
- Other duties as assigned by the Service Manager.

Education & Experience
- Minimum of 2 years industry-related experience and a general knowledge of operating washing and sterilizing processing units.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Good troubleshooting skills as well as proven organizational attitude.
- Computer literacy with a good standard of education with good oral and written communication.
- Sufficient technical knowledge of the English language.
- Completion of a recognized mechanical, electrical, or electronic technical training scheme.
