As the Mechanical Design Engineer, you will work alongside a market‑leading Defence and Aerospace company that is constantly growing and developing. The role involves designing and validating fuel system installation components and providing technical support throughout the end‑to‑end design process.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the end‑to‑end design process from conceptual design through modification, DFM, and support to manufacturing sites.
- Design and validate fuel system installation components and assemblies optimized for weight, cost, performance, and production/assembly requirements.
- Deliver the Definition Dossier for Manufacturing and Assembly (Component and Final Assembly Line).
- Define, deliver, and enable technical studies, trades, and investigations to ensure delivery of technical solutions in accordance with design methods and procedures.
- Work on design concepts in support of product incremental development and apply installation trials and prototyping when required.
- Manage the introduction of new modifications, provide support to the in‑service fleet, and wing build‑support.
- Competent user of Catia V5.
- Agile, have excellent communication skills, and a strong work/team ethos.
- Agility with people and foster a strong wellbeing mindset.
