Job Description
We are seeking a UK Corporate Regions Engineering Lead to provide operational leadership for Hard FM services across a major banking client’s corporate estate. This role is accountable for the safe, compliant, and high‑performing delivery of engineering services across a defined UK region.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational leadership for Hard FM services across the regional corporate portfolio for a major banking client.
- Lead and manage regional engineering managers and project staff (5 in total), ensuring strong performance, engagement, and accountability.
- Act as the regional Technical Lead and primary point of contact for the client, including senior reporting and contractual review meetings.
- Deliver all planned, reactive, and corrective maintenance activities, maintaining critical building availability in line with contract requirements.
- Ensure regional compliance with contract SLAs and KPIs, including completion of all M&E and building fabric work orders.
- Use management information to support operational, investment, and strategic decision‑making.
- Own regional engineering supply chain performance, driving efficiencies and identifying opportunities to enhance self‑delivery capability.
- Provide leadership for Critical Environment Operations, succession planning, team development, and continuous improvement, supporting financial and service performance objectives.
Professional and Personal Competencies / Qualifications
- Senior technical leader with experience managing multi‑site, regional or national engineering operations within banking environments and/or data centres.
- Experience in critical engineering within data centres, critical facilities, or other high‑availability environments.
- Mechanical or Electrical engineering background, with strong working knowledge of M&E systems in complex facilities.
- Qualified in Building Services, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Credible and confident professional with the ambition and capability to progress into a future Director‑level role.
- Able to challenge design, operational, and investment decisions with authority and professionalism.
- Strong communicator, effective at influencing senior stakeholders and technical specialists.
- Committed to developing teams, succession planning, and driving continuous improvement.
Additional Information
Visits to the client’s Corporate South region require regular travel.
Typical attendance expectations:
- London: 2–3 days per week
- Northampton: once per week
- Gloucester: approximately once every 1–2 weeks
Travel patterns may vary depending on operational needs. A full UK driving licence is required.
