Here at Humanoid, we believe in a future where robots amplify human potential. That’s why we’ve set out on a mission to build the world’s most capable, commercially scalable, and safe humanoid robots. We’re bringing that mission to life with HMND‑01 Alpha – our rapidly developed humanoid platform now running in real industrial pilots – and we’re growing the team to take it even further.
Lead Prototype Builds:
Assembly: Lead a team in the final-stage physical assembly of humanoid robotic prototypes
Bringup: Execute bring-up of prototypes, updating calibration, configuration and firmware of actuators and sensors,
Test: Verifying that sensors, actuators and compute modules are functioning as expected
Feedback Loop: Document your findings and feed them back to the design team, allowing them to focus on long-term fixes rather than daily firefighting
Line Management:
Recruitment: Support activities to recruit a team to execute end-of-line assembly and test
Management: Manage the team, conducting regular 1-to-1s and providing feedback, sick & holiday leave management, and performance appraisals
Continuous Improvement:
Identify: Opportunities to improve the processes used to assemble and test, improving first-pass yield, cycle time
Execute: Design, test, deploy, and document improved processes, training the team and others in the changes as appropriate
Measure: Appraise the improvements based on agreed KPIs, validating the benefits gained from the change
Fleet Support & Root Cause Analysis:
Triage & Debug: Act as the first line of engineering defense for newly built robots. When a robot fails in the field or the lab, you investigate why
Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Deep dive into mechanical, electrical, and software logs to identify the source of failures. You will distinguish between a "bad part," a "bad assembly," or a "bad design"
Feedback Loop: Document your findings and feed them back to the design team, allowing them to focus on long-term fixes rather than daily firefighting
Experience: 3+ years in Robotics, Mechatronics, or Systems Engineering. You have taken a robot from "parts on a table" to "working on the ground"
Hardware Debugging: You are comfortable using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers to debug harness and PCB issues. You aren't afraid to strip wires or solder a patch cable
Mechanical Assembly: Experienced in assembly of robotics components, with confidence working with actuators, sensors, gearboxes, and PCBAs
Software Competency: Familiarity in Linux and Python to write/modify scripts that capture sensor data. Familiarity with ROS/ROS2 to visualize data (RViz) and check topics. Familiarity with Git, bootloader and firmware updates
